Description
Position SummaryThe Practice Manager serves as the operational leader for all practice locations across Atlantic Brain and Spine. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role is responsible for day-to-day operating functions, continuous process improvement, standardization initiatives, and driving practice-wide alignment across multiple domains.
This leader partners closely with clinicians, leadership, and management from other departments to ensure operational excellence, growth, access optimization, and a seamless patient experience across the continuum of care.
Core Responsibilities
Clinic Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for all practice sites.
- Provide direct management of all clinic staff, including medical assistants
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture of excellence amongst staff via direct feedback, communication, and leading by example.
- Responsible for the performance of direct reports.
- Develop collaborative and open communication channels between all stake holders, including front desk, medical assistants, APPs, MDs, other pertinent department management, and administrative leadership.
- Develop and implement standardized workflows across locations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Align practice operations with goals related to growth, access, quality, and financial performance.
- Work closely with billing and revenue cycle teams to improve documentation integrity and timeliness
- Ensure coordination of imaging and consults.
- Partner with surgical scheduling teams to streamline pre-operative workflows.
- Ensure operational readiness for new programs, locations, or service lines.
- Align clinic operations with growth objectives.
Physician & APP Partnership
- Work closely with neurosurgeons, APPs, and medical assitants to optimize clinic flow and capacity.
- Support surgeon-specific growth initiatives and program development.
- Partner with providers to improve documentation, charge capture, and throughput.
- Facilitate operational solutions that enhance provider productivity and satisfaction.
Medical Assistant Oversight
- Direct supervision of all Medical Assistants across sites.
- Standardize rooming protocols, clinical support workflows, and pre-visit planning.
- Develop staffing models aligned with volume and acuity.
- Monitor productivity and patient flow metrics.
Scheduling Optimization
- Collaborate with centralized scheduling to improve utilization and access.
Disability & Administrative Workflow Management
- Oversee processes for disability paperwork, FMLA, and related documentation.
- Establish turnaround standards and accountability metrics.
- Ensure appropriate communication between providers, staff, and patients.
Data Analytics & Performance Improvement
- Develop and maintain system-wide dashboards tracking: Volumes
- Payor Mix
- Patient satisfaction
- Clinical Call Volume
- Analyze trends and provide actionable recommendations to the COO
- Drive continuous performance improvement initiatives based on data insights.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or RN degree required
- Masters degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) strongly preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive healthcare practice management experience.
- Multi-site leadership experience required.
- Surgical or procedural specialty experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with executive leadership.

- Expertise in access optimization and workflow redesign.
- Strong interpersonal and physician relationship management skills.
